Jan is a consultant to the World Bank Group working on industrial decarbonisation, energy efficiency and electrification.

Jan is a member of the World Economic Forum's Advisory Group on Clean Power, Grids and Electrification. The World Economic Forum's Clean Power, Grids and Electrification initiative is accelerating action to meet the goals for the clean energy transition working with business , government and civil society.

Serving on two expert advisory groups Jan advises the UK's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero on industrial electrification and heating decarbonisation.

Together with leading experts from academia, research institutions, and industry Jan serves on the Technical Council of CRREM. CRREM’s mission is to increase market transparency by facilitating the global standard to align real estate with climate goals and manage transition risk.

Jan is a member of the advisory board of Heat Pumps Watch. The new organisation delivers well-founded analyses and clear guidance on heat pump technology and the overall transition.
